Clams in a Pan
Dolphin Recipes
Ready for an explosion of flavor with a rebellious touch? Today we're cooking a spicy recipe (if you're up for it, of course). Today we're making clams in a pan , but with a twist that will leave you speechless.
Recipe for 2 People
Preparation time: approx. 30 min.
Difficulty: Easy
Ingredients
- Clams raw 400g
- Garlic (4 cloves)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Fresh parsley
- White wine (100ml)
- Chili (optional)
- Salt to taste
Step by Step Preparation
- Defrost: If you purchased frozen clams, you should leave them in the bottom of the refrigerator overnight. If you already have them ready, chop the garlic and parsley.
- Skillet: Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add the garlic (and chili pepper if you like it spicy) and fry until golden brown.
- Almejas: Add the clams and heat them up. It's time for them to open and reveal their true essence! A trick is to cover them for a minute to allow them to open and the meat to cook thoroughly.
- Touch of Wine: After a minute, add the white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate and the aroma fill your kitchen.
- Explosive Ending: Sprinkle with parsley, adjust the salt, and voila! Your pan-fried clams are ready.
Pairing and Presentation: Taking Your Dish to New Heights
- Accompaniment: To accompany your pan-fried clams, choose a fresh, light white wine. An Albariño or Verdejo are ideal options that complement the seafood flavors.
- Presentation: Serve the clams in a rustic skillet or on a ceramic plate. Make sure the garlic and parsley are visible for a touch of color and style.
- Final Touch: A few lemon slices on the side not only add a decorative touch, but also allow your guests to add a touch of citrus if they wish.
- Bread, the Best Companion: Don't forget bread to dip in the delicious sauce. Sourdough bread or a good baguette are essential options.
